1. I allowed the sale of a slave who defies me
Even if his defiance exceeded mine, it would not exceed me
١. سَمحْتُ بَيْعاً لِمَمْلُوكٍ يُعانِدُني
وَلَوْ تَعدَّى عِنَادِي ما تَعدَّاني
2. They said, does he belong to the open minded? I said to them
I would not have sold him if he had enlightened me
٢. قالُوا أَيُنْسَبُ لِلْعِلانِ قُلْتَ لَهُمْ
مَا كُنْتُ بائِعَهُ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَّاني
