1. How long must I be patient, oh departing one
Do you see an end to this parting?

2. I would not have been a composer, were it not for your mouth's poetry
And by describing your mouth, it is proven I am a poet

3. Surely, the excessive paleness betrayed the blush of his cheeks
And the onlooker was perplexed by the intense yellowness

4. So marvel at a cheek that stands by itself
Since I have no visible body, due to my illness

5. My heart naturally inclines toward you in love
So why does the cruel one who abandons it prevent it?

6. I know fire's nature is to provide light
And by your cheek, every bewildered heart is set aflame

7. Do not fear a fire sparked by your cheek
For the bright full moon keeps the stars company
