1. May Allah forgive a people whose patience ran out from them
If I were to mention others, my tongue would betray me

2. They acted as if there was no love between me and them
Long ago, and as if they were not them

3. The greatest intimacy is from one who gestures with his eye
Towards me, and the most faithful is one who greets

4. With yearning are loved ones when I remember them
I shine with a tear in the end of it blood

5. Suffering, and none among us is suffering
Again suffering, and none among the group but the suffering

6. Passion is nothing but the aspiration of an ambitious one
Whose eyes take pleasure in perfect beauty

7. My friend, why did sorrow stir his heart
And a painful longing returned to him

8. Nothing moved him but his deep love
And nothing accustomed him but preceding desire

9. I think the homes of the living are close to us
Otherwise, a breeze from it we inhale

10. Is the rein of your love held
And passion rules justly in its subjects?

11. Would an unjust one from us and you judge fairly
Neither did we say, nor did people hear

12. And our past life returns and tents
For union whose end is sealed come near

13. And a promise you made comes true in speech
And contains one who has merit

14. And darkness reveals the folds of pearls
Feeling you and your lasting love is seen

15. For your satisfaction informed our wishes
That you are generous

16. And moons that illuminate every joys’ path
From the light of your beauty gets its perfection
