1. The worshippers on the banks of the Ganges, they are
The source of the plague spreading across the earth

2. They cast their dead into it, believing
It connects to eternity

3. Thus the water and air are corrupted
And diseases and afflictions kill the world

4. If only their kin who shared their disbelief
Were cremated, the world would rest at ease

5. Slaughtering all of India’s Zoroastrians
Would delight India, if nations undertook it

6. I do not condone violence, but I saw them
Pour down calamities till kingdoms crashed
