1. Today I have come with a decisive warning
O you of sincere intentions and determination

2. Show them your spears after you lured them
When you would soften their hearts and hold back

3. And you tested them with pretenses so they grew bold
So you tested them with the harshness of the Compeller

4. They angered you so be harshest upon them
For the truth is harder than their steel and fire

5. They were openly hateful to your people after
You learned of their tremendous secrets

6. And you certainly possessed the supreme argument and left
No way for them to excuses

7. O free man of Egypt and its savior tomorrow
With the powers of refusal and honor of the free

8. Hopes I proposed which you raged against
Imposing conditions on the compelled to the elect

9. And when hearts befriend each other you disposed
In the ways of days and decrees

10. Your people will see with their eyes their independence
After they read it in my poems

11. And Egypt will be sweet for its righteous people not
For rapacious ones from others and vagabonds
