8. You gave me the choice, so I chose from your bounties what
Is indispensable for a servant and for a master

9. Sustenance that revolves with time, so from a hand
That fulfills with it the passion of souls to a hand

10. Precious gems from his crafts, if
He does not set out in vain or become constrained

11. You are the one who emboldened my poetry to
What I never dared or was accustomed to

12. I used to be shy when I recited what
I, a cautious lyricist, feared accusing lyrics

13. So I returned shy when I saw what
You bestow in terms of blessings, without being pretentious

14. And I started to frolic in the shades of noble deeds
Like a bird among the vines of a lush garden

15. And my poetry is enough that it is the fruit of consent
About what you inspire and what you sacrifice

16. And what you have honored me with as a gift
Is enough for me - glory in absence and beauty when witnessed

17. Thus much anguish has been relieved from a chest
For narrowness of chest, not narrowness of hand

18. I have from money what suffices for wealth
If not for the stringent creditor

19. I indeed acquit my liability from a creditor
And owe it to the most glorious Helper

20. Refinement has testified that you are its support
In your past yesterday, your day, and tomorrow
