1. With justice, benevolence, and might you rule,
Though you face much adversity and hardship.

2. You bear what no one else can withstand,
And oblige this soul to what it finds no obligation.

3. True was the oath that passed,
And today's oath is more faithful and generous.

4. You've come between a blessed era,
And one that's passed and miserable.

5. You return honesty to the valley that
You've safeguarded, now stronger and upright.

6. Victories of hearts, not victories of fortresses,
You've won, and triumph through wisdom is greatest.

7. It's not the iron of soldiers you possess,
But resolute, organized will.

8. You waited until people needed a savior,
Then became the best predecessor.

9. You walked the extent of each worker's path,
As you fulfill and complete all matters.

10. You build a glorious, majestic abode,
And dwelling in it, you bless Egypt.

11. In its deputies and elders who've come to you
To consult on its prosperity and speak-

12. They're your hand-picked ones, executing your desires.
And you for their hopes, are the hand-picker.

13. Trustees whom missteps you've protected,
While you for them, tend, guide, and shelter.

14. Today unites all eras,
With its affairs handed over to you fully.

15. The beloved king saw his place
Among the people, their hopeful aspiration.

16. He found his loyalists on the new covenant,
Who affirmed and strengthened the new pact.

17. He received the throne's address, its principles
Inspiring and suggesting to you his rule.

18. You are for his best deeds a hand,
You are for his best words a mouth.

19. So why have resentful enemies lagged,
When both banks enjoy a feast and season?

20. Did they overlook the horizons or did you deny them,
Grieving them to be disgraced and deprived?

21. They returned to accuse the fates,
Did it task them to rebel and be defeated?

22. Long were their unfounded claims, and when they ended fruitlessly,
They complained of injustice only to you.

23. They protest what time itself decrees, while they
Are harmed and wronged the most by it.

24. They seek the impossible from it,
While events unfold as you have determined.

25. Sleepless they spent their night, and when
Their hopes were thwarted, slept all day to dream.

26. When they assembled to rule, their path
Was harm, deceit, slander and bloodshed.

27. How many laws and creeds they've changed,
Transgressing haughtily and forbidding.

28. They commit sins only to rule,
And seek rule only to sin.

29. Had their land and sky preached to them
Lessons of deterrence, they would have ignored and confused them.

30. Whoever ignores averting what he hears,
The staff of time is an excellent translator.

31. Did estrangement or isolation veil them,
Or councils and feasts make them recoil?

32. Where are the champions who pledged
At their yesterday's meeting, vowing and swearing?

33. Those your leader's warriors and troops
Misguided by ill fortune to evil.

34. Invaders of roads they demolished and burned,
Not knowing what they demolished and burned.

35. They opposed you though you are no despot,
Had they not persisted, I would have ignored them.

36. The world lies open to them, do they seek
To grab from your hands what you generously give?

37. The ignorant did not know their weakness without you,
But seduced those unaware.

38. You endured their injustice and sins,
Though their sins caused you pain.

39. Had they faced some woe, you would have excused them,
But they caused others misery to enjoy luxury.

40. As if the nation, kingdom and people are between them
Shared goods or distributed inheritance!

41. You will meet them on judgement day, and they will be
To themselves the harshest, cruelest and most unjust.

42. I'm not stingy with life toward them,
But hellfire is more deserving of who lives to tyrannize.

43. Had what they experienced from you been divided
Among people, no sinner would have remained on earth.

44. You left them to hasten their fate,
While they have nothing but idle talk.

45. They returned to the Almighty pleading,
With those they had deceived, who now hate them.

46. Long have they waited at the enemy's doors,
One day they must tire and relent.

47. Is it for the valley's freedom they've marched,
Or its subjugation and overlord today they desire?

48. It's hard for your conscience to see
A friend aiding the tyrants, yet it is they!

49. And to seek from you vengeance for them, after you've
Exacted his vengeance from them yesterday!

50. Contradictory hypocrisy, hiding malice,
This one covers for that, and conceals.

51. Tested were two adversaries; one stubborn,
The other regretful for what has passed.

52. They did not reconcile except to differ in passion.
Can a raven and a sandgrouse ever be alike?

53. The gang is but a side, whose demolition
Is by that familiar rebuilder.

54. Enough the faults they've accused each other of,
When you present evidence against them.

55. So what can the gang leader do after slandering you,
When insults did not avail him, he proceeded to insult?!

56. He prays dawn with evil intentionally, and if left
To himself, he is the obsessed addict.

57. Death pursues him while he jokes,
And mourns victims while feasting and feeding.

He cares not if the Nile flows back

59. To its springs, or the severed unite.
The nations seek refuge from you restoring him,

60. To rule would be endless chaos and plight.
The dead may return, but never will

61. His expired era, ever turn back.
You resolved what was between the Emir and his uncle,

62. Of discord, after assuming it unresolvable.
You reconciled both parties who praised

63. You, and the fretful found peace.
What you've given from his fountain,

64. Is mightier than yesterday's rule, greater in prestige.
You progressed with the constitution in September,

65. As you would with qualified peers.
Today's traditions from you are hopeful,

66. Of what the smiling future will carry.
I record the joys prepared for eternity,
