1. The faithful are yearning for you,
For their homes and abodes, so help us!

2. Rally your legions which you have prepared
For truth, glistening white, and steadfast hope.

3. And take loyalty from the swords and the spears
If you do not find it from your fickle epoch.

4. And let your mighty terror have its way,
You will find the enemies appealing to you.

5. When you have totally conquered and prevailed among them
You will have possessed justice and law.

6. Counsel, O Commander of the Faithful, kingdoms
That have harmed us on the left and the right.

7. They fear sullying your beauty, that fierceness of transgressors
Cannot attain what gentleness of yours has attained.

8. By night it sets for you snares by force
And by day it steals strategies.

9. O House of Jesus, what is left for Jesus if he rose
Disavowing what you have innovated?

10. He enjoined you to be kind to aggressors, so why are you
Murderers of the safe and secure?

11. What wrong have the Muslims done to you
While they are the conquerors of regions?

12. Was there ever a day when they shared your religion except
The Clement's pardon and the forgiveness of the clement?

13. Their mercy was wasted, and had it been
Upon one who preserved it, it would be debts.

14. And the calamity is that your beasts arise
As anarchy of claws claiming to be civilized.

15. O West of Islam, in you is a blemish
That consoles your Eastern brother, the deceived one,

16. And remnants of prisoners in you are memory
And incitement of your surviving passions.

17. Marrakesh befell Tunis and Algiers suddenly,
And Tripoli refused the customs and took only

18. The determination of refusal as fortress.
An Arab blossom whose fertility is protected

19. By Arabs as lions protect their lair.
Prey which their affairs are arranged

20. And they are ruled by a portion of the Turks.
O sister Egypt, and in her breast is an ember,

21. I am at your service until the callers are satisfied.
I sent you supplies, and I wish I had sent

22. The armies rushing forth.
If I owned the Nile, I would have helped it flow

23. Behind hearts with affection and longing.
What is there for resolve, and what is there for Egypt and in it

24. Except sorrows that provoke sorrows?
It is not for the volunteer chosen one

25. To complain of shackles or fear suspicions.
After the loyal one has sacrificed himself with his soul

26. Does he feel out trust and reassurance?
The caliphate sufficed from ruling Egypt

27. That which deafened the enemies and silenced the slanderers
And honored the authority of Egypt’s crown and throne

28. With righteous gifts and givers.
How excellent is the time of the majestic Omar,

29. Supporter of the steadfast, our ally,
And the tenderness of Umm Al-Mumineen pouring upon him

30. Her generosity and gifts coupled.
I wish I had accompanied his expedition, perhaps

31. I would help a wounded man or save a choking one,
And roam around the martyrs in their arena

32. So I would shake the mountains with elegy,
And see the souls wandering in turmoil

33. After joining my intimate friend
And the resolves of the heroes around their protector

34. Extended, and the defeats of the tyrants.
O House of Rome, you seek vain wishes

35. Or do you seek death from us?
You came dragging iron, and you went

36. With your iron in the abyss fettered,
And you danced in it drunk, so dance

37. In the dark night slaughtered.
If the clashing of your swords provokes you,

38. Then the moan has changed to moaning and lament.
And if the signs on your clothes make you arrogant,

39. Then you have worn clay after them.
You blame your advisers and refuse

40. So now the heat of spears advise you.
Send the wolves to the lions - five of them

41. Destroyed fifty of you.
And gather your whales and eagles

42. For the hunters are waiting for us there.
And take abundant provisions, for you

43. And your weapons and provisions are seized.
None of them remained destitute or unarmed

44. After they gained victory.
So eat from bitter food if you exceed

45. The limit of captivity, and drink salty water,
And complete the great reinforcements with youths

46. Driven to the furnace terrified,
Who will die of fear the day he sees its horror,

47. Who did not die mad before fighting.
Did you think the plain of Barqa a tavern for you

48. And attacking Qayrawan carefree?
Or are you victorious even though among your enemies in it

49. Are plains that coil and fold?
Or do you fill your bellies with blood

50. And gold, and the intimate did not leave a belly?
You were enraged by the might of the protectors so you went

51. Quenching your rage from the weakened.
You exemplified their elders and women

52. And slaughtered the children compulsorily.
You feared the pride and dignity of the captive

53. So you killed the imprisoned and jailed.
Your swords broke their bones - did they then

54. Wound covenants for them and certainty?
Your land and sky grew angry at you

55. And religion - if scorpions knew religion!
And your friends’ faces disowned you

56. And allies changed to blamers.
Do you raise your heads after what

57. Disgraced you, or do you open your eyes?
You waged war and failed, and your hatred

58. Will coil back at you so you fight us.
And the anarchy of that kingdom you

59. Aspired to increase with the deficient will pass the night.
You declared annexation of the countries, and declared

60. The lion of the countries victory and empowerment.
O leader of the fleet, those are their seas

61. Did you secure depths and bases for them?
Weigh it down with armored ships and return

62. Filled with their body parts loaded.
And when you arrive at its ports which

63. Became fragile, you are the most eloquent in informing.
Bring certainty to the people, for they

64. Have been tired there of the deceits of the storytellers.
And recall your gains which satisfy

65. A nation weighed down and a people captivated.
O House of Othman, the outcome is yours

66. And I see your auspicious crescent protected.
And for every nation with you there is a vengeance, and they

67. Are not indifferent or forgetful.
If you throw them into hellfire you have executed

68. The penalty without being unjust.
No nation has found in protection of their king

69. Justice and grace like we find.
Why do I see stillness across the Balkans

70. After the incitement and clamor?
No land welcomed those who attacked you

71. And ships did not carry knights.
A holiday passed over you concerned

72. So receive a blessed holiday.
O son of the Caliph, before you is the valley in which

73. A brother of yours met his Lord and cheek.
The gift of caliphate to the emirate became

74. An inheritance as the Almighty willed, precious.
The trusted conscience advised you, so he left no

75. Secret for the full conscience protected.
In every direction a waving banner

76. And a governor submitted to you scattering eagles.
And there is in the folds of Egypt a flock

77. Yearning for you - if only they could ransom us!
Bring their share of your proximity closer to them

78. I see them approaching it.
He who made the caliphate among you

79. Made affection and love among us.
If our hearts and your hearts unite

80. It will extend your hands to our hands.
O House of Egypt, and in events there are lessons

81. So reflect upon them today, taking heed.
And the Caliph has rewarded you for that

82. Which by your loyalty you strove for years.
This radiance of the religion has ennobled your land

83. So receive him today celebrating.
And anticipate high hopes for Al-Rashid

84. Has sent Al-Mamun to you as trusted.
Give your finest guest a beautiful reception, you are

85. In strength and your guests satisfied.
Not that their precedence over it was to boast

86. But it is acknowledgment of those admitting.
So leave the case to the Caliph, perhaps you

87. After affection will be saved from them.
There was no burden on Egypt if after

88. Hostility you tried gentleness.
If you recognized the right of each day

89. You would praise training and exercise.
I see the new era blessed,

90. And I see your wellbeing an assurance for it.
