1. A just king as you please, justice established
From you the dew, to you eternal loyalty

2. And for your family intimate talk, you being their guest
And for Egypt what the herald brings

3. O successor to the Sultan when both of you are united
In Allah holidays for Him and seasons

4. Indeed whoever envies you while you are in
This position is a resentful loser

5. Better for one who presented armies trained
To be ransomed while he prays and fasts

6. You revived in the meadows of Ramadan between them
For Allah what you revived in Mecca, Hashim

7. And banquets for Egypt’s defenders as though
Their news for the chaste of Egypt and banquets

8. And manifestations of religion, virtues, guidance
And manifestations of life, dew, and nobilities

9. And you left in their bustle the effect that
A wise consultant praised

10. Better suited for you is the fortress you supported
Even if capitals and metropolises desired you

11. For you in it an army if you want, so be it
Filling the countries, and if you want, so be it

12. They said you were ill, I said exerting with what
Neither Arabs nor foreigners can endure

13. Indeed, the one who surrounded the countries is most deserving
To remain for them while he is healthy and safe

14. So go your way with delighted eyes
And settle hearts you returned while they are ardent

15. You followed your caravan, it being a travelling palace
After the ship, it being a towering edifice

16. Enough for people an explanation for what you experienced
To meet their delegations while your grin is smiling

17. And you tasked with the rulings the most generous around you
Cooperators on righteousness, the most generous

18. Ministers of Egypt and its evident proof
If a tyrant deviated and an angry one resisted

19. They went willingly guided so they attained
What the anxious confused one cannot attain

20. Thus they are satisfied, the weak complainant being
Pleased with them, for the strong assailant has become angry

21. O son of those who established Egypt’s entity
While the East is chaos and the people restless

22. They deferred to you Egypt’s command, and it
Through you its past glory will be restored

23. Calling you to the appointment which is an obligation
An immortalized memory for them and landmarks

24. And the people are guests, so whether they fulfill or contravene
And honoring guests is an incumbent right

25. If you wish then for them a vast opportunity
Or you wish then it is the tight entanglement

26. So let them hand the countries’ rule to its people
And for them ample drinking places and eateries

27. And if they feared for us a sudden raid
With what edifice can the raider be repelled?

28. Some are cowardly traitors to others
And in brotherhood some defeat others

29. And demands that invade them are demands
And resolves that assassinate them are resolves

30. So let them do good, those who grieve will mention it
After the departure, the pessimistic group

31. And let them leave us to build in the two regions whatever
We wanted, and none can demolish what we built

32. Perhaps the free spirited can do for himself
What an employee servant cannot do

33. And it is prudent, since our deliverance has empowered you
That you watch them while you are peaceful

34. Indeed the methods you perfected
Are blessed steps and staircases

35. To Allah your opinion attaining and granted
What arrows and swords cannot attain

36. This is some of your supplies you prepared
For time, frightening and growing calamitous

37. If the noble could be patient like you once
No blamer would blame them for what they desired

38. And perhaps the innocent would be accused and
The friend driven away by scheming and gossip

39. If the complainant to you stays silent, it is obedience
To you, not as the resentful angry one stayed silent

40. Let no impatient screamer anger you
What you are not intending and he is claiming

41. What is upon the ardent when his beloved
Sparks excite him which are offensive?

42. If the peaceful people know your highest right
You by the right of your people are a knower

43. Certainty came so there is no way to what an
Suspicious or delusional one claimed

44. Who possesses the clear word, he indeed
Does not worry about armies, though they are violent

45. And you acknowledged the predator’s right truthfully
It is equal, pleased with the predator or coerced

46. And the truth, if advocates insist on it, its
Benefit is equal, whether shiite or opponent

47. And if the free soul transcends, it transcends, so no
Hired hand for its transcendence and bargaining

48. And the people chose peace to the Most High
A cause, and people’s causes are crimes

49. Its traits shone like its Nile’s chain
Bearing days while they are arduous

50. No aggressor attains freedom in the two horizons
Nor did the sinner gain independence

51. I see disputants driven blindly
To the distant inevitable abyss, evils

52. States, if they warred, then you are secure
And if they befriended, then you gain

53. And time conceals an incident, and I fear
That what it conceals will afflict states

54. And dissidents who lived on resentment like
Scorpions roaming or snakes crawling

55. They were accustomed to winding rugged gorges as they
Were accustomed to blustering winds, evil omens

56. Evil are gardens watered with blood
And homes whose building stones are skulls

57. Oh, if only your grandfather had not left a tyrannizer
Of them and did not shepherd the peninsula compassionately

58. The parties of Egypt, if you accept its various
Necklaces while you are the orchestrator

59. And the Nile before you flows smoothly
And living comfortably in your time easy

60. Does a hand someday shake your high throne
While sincere hearts are its pillars?

62. These tranquil countries whenever
Countries quaked with tremors and floods

63. You can be as you wish, and it suffices it
That none but you governs the kingdom
