1. The King's oath to serve his realm from end to end
And extend the rule with fairness to no end

2. And witness the people's truthful love they express
In what you see, receive, and are pleased to address

3. Explain the path wherever you are its maker
To its extent as desired and traced back

4. And carry to the countryside in its richest seasons
The King's highest regards and blessings

5. Each region has a right over you, and you
Have remembered villages' rights with care not few

6. You visited the farmer in his field with grace
So ease, favor, and glory visited his place

7. You ate his plain harvest and found it
Most delicious food that gratified and satiated

8. And drank from the water enveloping it
The distilled nectar of bliss or fresh rain poured

9. This humility from you in your loftiness to it
Its face blooms for you give it radiance and light

10. Accustomed to the sunshine in its rays to meet
And in the open, pure air its breath and life

11. Its body and mind in life grew hale and hearty
Caring not whether palace or hut be its party

12. Contentment satisfying worldly façades denies
And that in axe and plow his world and treasure lies

13. He gives his hand fever working invested
And when called by the soul on day of rest he's blessed

14. And sometimes draws down rains when course
Through valley midst the Nile doesn't run its course

15. Never doubting heat or cold its nature
Its summer in its climes like its winter

16. He who bears a burden hoping for its gain
Benefits from all the earth hosts he'll obtain

17. O people's servant in high office holding fast
To guidance of God's rulings first and last

18. Through you nobles assisted and I through them
The pace of possible assisted me and them

19. And I came to my spacious, fertile region
With the best company from it I envisioned

20. You walked among its farmers in morn's first light
As though they were your equals and recite

21. If foundation you lay today of stone
It is for gems and gifts to build upon

22. The land where they dwell sings your praises aloud
As people speak so countries have mouths

23. My heart witnessed the caravan when related
To me so my heart accompanied and celebrated

24. If from the region no poet comes to you
Your travels' prose and mention it will do

25. Sending you from his praises glory's clime
The age's perfume and most fragrant rhyme

26. But who can't journey to find where you sit
As body's weakness walks his remnants yet

27. The lover's excuse passion stirred in him
To the beloved, but legs refused to carry him

28. For my people and homeland your grace indeed
Is best remedy for all illnesses to lead
