1. O you who have been endowed with religion and zeal
The enemy wants from us a share and spoils

2. You have repelled from us the tyrants, so they retreated
And you have resisted formidable calamities, so they desisted

3. And you have prepared for us ways that have saved me
Through which victory, if they wanted war and you wanted

4. And you have supported us with hope and you have strengthened
Fortresses for homelands with summits reaching the sky

5. And you have supported us with your alliance which
Has made you a shield and protection for the religion

6. It rages with what you have been granted of powers
Precise in its aims and clear in its paths, providing guidance

7. And you are but my swords whose blades
When they appear, blunt every polished sword

8. And previously it would tremble in fear
Of the nights' vicissitudes and the hostile critic

9. And he would call his many sons and complain
But he found them only humiliated and asleep

10. Until your rule came and you uncovered
The East from a night full of events

11. And you returned the world to it beautiful
Pleasing, sweet and smiling

12. And you clothed it in the garb of justice and brilliance
So it came glorious and blissful in it

13. And you revived the Prophet's charter and you took
What aids the Ancient Sacrosanct House

14. Abbas, the fertile valley hopes
That God will keep you the decisive prince
