1. In you is hope, as a Muslim and a fareweller
Taking your time in what you intend and hastening

2. According to the qualities of your character
I found you most resolute and magnificent

3. You strive for the best purposes alone
So you attain some and prevent others

4. Until you regained from virtues and heights
What time, the obstinate, had wasted and squandered

5. And you united the two nations, succeeding
In good, for the cause that will never be severed

6. And spared your people from fearing an accident
Or dreading violence from enemies and greed

7. And filled your time with victories by which
You left no lofty citadel untouched

8. With battalions whose tents shadowed them
Like clouds, only they will never disperse

9. And you targeted the enemy of the kingdom with war
In which you made the cannon defeat the sword

10. Until it raged furiously and unleashed a blaze
Till the firmly anchored pillars collapsed

11. Your armies penetrated the lands, so you shook
Terror, and narrowed the vast space

12. Your might still roams the tribes
Filling the chests of enemies with terror

13. Until their blood flowed, watering produce
That the blessed Nile never irrigated as it overflowed

14. And they came to you celebrating your rule, satisfied
Those who had refused to be disgraced and submit

15. So you forgave the sins of the penitent, generously
And endowed them the essence of life, voluntarily

16. Complete this blessing upon them, and do not
Deprive them of the light of your rising countenance

17. And be gentle with them, for their hearts almost
Crack with yearning for your encounter

18. Visit them with the visit of your noble ancestor
Of whom no place lacks the memory of his voice

19. And parade the formidable army representing you
Showing how it brought death to the rebels

20. An admonishment for those you left, neither
Gloating over the dead, nor pained for them

21. Sometimes, and sometimes, shower them with your grace
Until you see the desert become a lush meadow

22. And the bliss of their lives lasts guaranteed
As long as you are the vastest source of the two Niles

23. They have joy, for one of the two rivers flowed
In their land, very sweetly meandering

24. If a counselor had told them of your era
They wouldn't have believed their right-guided one's claim

25. And they wouldn't have resisted your armies
And seen no refuge but you

26. You will see them, when their delegations encounter you
Like a turbulent sea, with swelling waves

27. And from intense joy, their faces
Almost whiten, till they shine radiantly

28. If the departed knew what you bestowed on
The remaining, they would have chosen you as their refuge

29. Had they before that sought help from evil
They would have found in your approval, an intercessor

30. Abbas, defender of faith, authority and homelands
What hopes in us you made, not wavering

31. God's promise to His servants continues
Until they saw you fulfilling the expected

32. So call the nations to the Caliph, uniting
Through God, religion and life together

33. And make for them in each distant region
A minaret, or an easy path

34. You still graciously revive pilgrimage
To your Mustafa's abode and headquarters

35. May He who gave you just rule watch over you
And guidance to govern four realms
