1. Call the dear ones and choose the best,
And pick the deputies and representatives.

2. O people of the valley in its horizons,
There are lessons, as you turn the pages.

3. Jihad has but one arena,
Yet you made for it numerous gates.

4. We would be pleased if that debate,
Around politics, turns out right.

5. We want the various principles,
To become means towards your goals.

6. And pleading for you in that clamor,
That pained the ears, to become advice.

7. It is incumbent on the competent and peers,
To seek out comrades for the sanctuary and companions.

8. Loyalty to Egypt made their hearts equal,
And the most influential of them, most rewarding.

9. The flaw of conscience is not to disperse,
And form factions and parties.

10. But maliciousness excites harm,
And storms of chaos provoke contempt.

11. Is there none among you who once sighed,
For intercessors when he ended and settled?

12. Set out to a new tomorrow,
And drop a veil on the old past,

13. And gather strength for the king and valley,
That deters the aggressor and wards off the critic.

14. This is the policy of one who wants for Egypt,
To overcome a dam or cleave through a mountain pass.

15. So if you stand united before your enemy,
You will undo his hands and necks.

16. And if you fight over the spoils beforehand,
You will be the spoils.

17. If he accepts nothing but your loss,
Prudence is to remain wrathful toward him.

18. Human freedom is a common right,
Take it peacefully or forcibly.

19. Today your country implores you- and what
More deserving of response than a call?

20. More harmful than enemies of a people, is one
Who calls the enemies masters of his people.

21. If they bargain regarding this Nile, and in it
Their children, it should return to being a cloud.

22. They cannot control its course one day,
And it frequents only the people and loved ones.

23. In what is possible and feasible is your aid,
For what is a long journey and difficult pursuit.

24. Some wishes beget madness, and the best wishes
Are those that agree with the wise.

25. The East has with you trusts,
Which time has made you their keepers.

26. No one serves homelands except one who sees,
Leaving his titles as the greatest titles.

27. He reaps no fruits but what his hands presented,
And tastes no drink but what he poured.

28. He mounts no pulpits as an orator,
Except as he faces the prayer niche.

29. So one who willingly redeems the sacred homeland,
Has redeemed for himself a refuge and sanctuary.

30. The tyrants of mankind are gone except a remainder,
In every rugged valley there still remain wolves.

31. Their stomachs filled with blood after they ate,
The fruits of the earth and the plants.

32. So beware their views before,
You beware the claws and fangs.

33. More deserving of the kingdom’s prosperity, if it is devoid,
Of passions, is for it to remain in ruins.

34. O people of this alive and lasting neighborhood,
Grey hair has shaken you, both young and old.

35. I have a memory between you, and I am not one,
Who pursued false desires aimlessly.

36. This is a brother to you, whom you knew his candor,
And conscience, excellence and manners.

37. And he is prepared for whatever you approve,
Of the heat of struggle- so whoever calls him, he responds.

38. He is determined to his doctrine, even if,
He faces past it abysses and battlegrounds.

39. His past is his proof, and for you in his tomorrow,
Is what deserves praise and admiration.

40. With guarding the council and under its shadows,
How excellent and sweet is what he attained.

41. After your hopes rose radiantly,
Do you encounter doubts in your hopes?

42. I see for you a glorious destiny,
That satisfies the ancestors and makes descendants happy.
