1. Offer it to him or break it in his palm,
He no longer takes delight or tastes joy.

2. Neither does he feel quenched or find thirst,
Nor rejoice if his dreams come true.

3. In vain you wish from one whose desires died,
From prolonged suffocation and wakeup.

4. So he returned, hoping for neither shade nor tree,
Nor watching any promise, jest or serious.

5. When he craved, he fed on the fading memories,
And sucked what he had etched in the sands of passion.

6. Like a ghost, he lives without longing or dream,
Without awaiting hope, stingy or generous.

7. The nightingale misses the date of a song,
Like a hungry bird missing its flock.

8. And withdraws like a tomb preparing an echo,
Weeping and moaning, (neither sad nor happy).

9. Do not ask: He whom you knew is no longer here,
He left, and left behind him a specter.

10. Pity his remnants or smash his remains,
To the wind – he knew not who hurt or bandaged.
