1. Abu Al-Asaff, your people's virtue has deceived you,
And you are one of the eminent Hashimites,

2. And you neither fear nor compete,
Nor regard what you have presented as disgrace.

3. To you, to you, turn your cheek from my calamities,
Lest I imprint on the protected lineage,

4. And I swear if I recited a verse to you,
Your temples would frown or soften.
