Whose honesty leaves no room for denial

4. You were in this world glorious, counted by
Its people to facilitate the glorious in hardship

5. To you the command returns in every predicament
Until what cannot be returned comes from the command

6. The cities are consoled by you, Egypt knows
That you are still the dear one of Egypt

7. You left so the face of morning is not happy
And your absence made the cheeks of dawns cease smiling

8. You stumbled so the song of the lute is not melodious
And you were absent so the wishes did not shine like a full moon

9. You made the land of knowledge lonely without you
So it has no blossoms and the jurist has no blossoms

10. You perfected traits and merits and generosity
But a decline was inevitable from lifetime

11. The excellence of faith took you where no
Decree of Zayd or Amr can restore you

12. If the earth has hidden you in its belly
We carry every backbone-breaking load

13. And I shed all the tears of my eyes
And I made my heart free in captivity

14. The sun of security cried for the loss of a moon
Whose glories shine over the glittering stars

15. Take residence in Heaven with its shade stretched
And move from a easy palace to a palace

16. The heart of the Nile expects to lose itself
Can't you see it burning and breaking?

17. With a sun from it the west of its extent shone
And with its absence the rise of the full moon darkened

18. If his deeds perfume his grave soil
He will rise on the Day of Meeting with a good scent

19. So sweet is patience to me after the day
Eyes of people cried for him during the year and month

20. My witnesses were his eloquence when living
Now no witnesses remain nor patience remains

21. If my eyes were veiled by sleep
I would blame the ghost that moves in me

22. He purified morals, soul and being
And deserved the Gardens of Bliss in perfect purity

23. He rested in soil bodily but his soul
Soared to the Most High Exalted

24. So he showed under the soil his worth to God
A cloud of forgiveness with ongoing rain

25. And God's approval met him with his Lord's approval
A giver of good news and finding what he hopes to store

26. And the breeze of God gave him life and soul
And intimacy in the loneliness of the grave

27. May God pardon the revived one for he
Was adorned with all forms of delight and glad tidings

28. With predecessors he mentions his virtues
And counts, his heart still first

29. Leadership was weakened when he left
Though he had adorned it with a pearl necklace

30. The tip of the green pen turns white with his bliss
Complaining of losing its green pens

31. He was a verse of remembrance explicating the Book
Beyond any youth with ink when compared
