1. Pluck, O falconer, pluck and take away
The hardship from its ease

2. Were the moon to shine in a canopy
The onlooker would have no need of its moon

3. Restless eyelids suppose it
To be harboring rancor against its prey

4. Like the perfumed cheek it bows down
Its nature invites caution

5. And like the young gazelle's horn
Protruding in the ample part of its cheek

6. And like a sapling wrapped in gold
From which vision does not stray

7. A desirous glance lights upon ink
From the breast of an eloquent poet

8. Valiant, it judges by its gaze
When it meets it based on reports

9. Its resolve assured by composure
So it does not venture into danger

10. Achieving by inquiry its desire
Victorious by prudence in its deceits

11. And when it charms ears
The form of an absent one appears

12. I said, in its eyes are hearts
That shy away from what shortens its track

13. It springs forth to the birds bursting out
Like the arrow's release from its bowstring

14. Dispersing from it as glimmers
Like the clearing of fog from its rain

15. Then it whistles to call them back
Like the glance's return from its looking

16. And it scatters its group slowly
Like the flowering from its tree
