1. The hunter with a striped shirt has great passion,
As if tattoos were etched upon his body.

2. Two arched lines appear on his cheeks,
Slightly rose-tinted, descending gracefully.

3. His upper arms seem as though they were lent
To someone with a slender waist to be clasped tightly.

4. The excess flesh of his arms was joined
To his wrists, adhering closely together.

5. They were spread out over his fleshless thighs
Whose meat was diminished and wired thinly.

His nails were like claws, as though they belonged

7. To a hunter unable to be trimmed.
He had a forelock - if a palm would stroke it

8. Onto the cheek of the west wind, it would crumble.
With eyes - if torch flames approached their sparks,

9. The kindling would ignite and blaze from them.
And canine teeth - if time prevailed over mankind

10. With their edges, pigeons would be slaughtered.
A face whose excellence poured goodness in its plains,

11. Its malice refused joy for people to glimpse.
And eyelids whose stares eliminate depravity when they glance,

12. So the soul cannot be blamed for admiring them.
And cheeks like caves that swallow the dew

13. And gloom of lingering nights when they meet.
I disciplined him until I restrained him

14. From traits which refused correction.
I taught him to refrain from killing prey, after

15. I despaired of his ignorant nature learning.
He came as I willed him and found him

16. Suitable for what he was once prohibited.
When we go hunting in the morning,

17. His spirit permits us, shedding no blood.
He does not insist on killing his prey,

18. But delivers it whole and unharmed.
When his eyes notice someone he stalks,

19. He growls in his lurking and rumbles.
He intends for us thereby hearing and obedience,

20. Preserving our rights and integrating with us.
It suffices him to fetch it and stand firm,

21. And the terrors of hunting, that he should frown.
So we only glance back when we see

22. A grip on the prey’s body that has marked it.
As if the Creator endowed him with gentleness
