2. Whenever you rise up in valorous wrath
No fortress in this world is safe from fate

3. Toledo lies disabled and empty
Of its people, clutched in the falcon's grasp

4. You left it without inhabitants to defend it
Deserted, like a tomb, on all sides

5. God would not leave a bridge standing
To serve as passage for hordes of unbelief
