1. O you who his time has afflicted with its troubles
Take refuge in the Prophet, seek protection in his fortress

2. And chant when you reach his glorious abode
O master with all under his banner

3. Neither miser of his generosity nor withholder of his bounty
Can be safe from misfortunes

4. A servant who has made your love his inclination
I am one who thinks the best of attaining your approval

5. I came to your door hoping to succeed for he
How many hopefuls have won at your door

6. Who is it that doubts your protection?
The turns of time, however much its afflictions intensify

7. O healer of ailing consciences
I complain to you and you are its healer

8. While I am the ailing one and this time is my adversary
My master, o you who has extended to him my hands

9. Do not banish me for poverty or crime
Forgive my shortcomings for your approval is my goal

10. And inability is my excuse for praising you my master
So compensate by your grace the broken heart of the incapable
