Watering the branches of the Sidr tree, lush and verdant

2. Homelands protected by God from ruinous misfortune
Vitalized by lightning’s flash, illuminating and resplendent

3. The orchards remained fruit-laden, never pillaged
Storm winds could not ravage them, not once tempestuous

4. They continued providing sweet fruit and life
Lips nurtured by the rainfall were smiling and delectuous

5. Among them leaders with virtues all-encompassing
High morals made fragrant, like balsam perfumed

6. Courageous, forbearing, in purity’s precincts lodged
Upholding the right, to righteousness adhering

7. Exalted glory, sublime and lofty in the highest dwellings
Eluding all description however eloquent

8. To God belongs that glory and honor, it is He
Who revived it among people, unique and magnificant

9. Tripoli therein was invigorated and vitalized
Till Beirut arrived, heralding tidings ecstatic

10. Noble she became, a sanctum for all humanity
Since the dawn of time, a refuge sought by pilgrims enchanted

11. Showing kindness to visitors, dispensing grace gentle
Bestowing subtle blessings, subtle and mellifluous

12. When she turned her kindness and sympathy towards us
We saw beneficence from her, compassion evident

13. Throngs flocked to her door, glory her destination
Continued progress assured in her eminent station

14. Her fortunes remained fixed in felicity's tower
Prosperity thus ordained, abiding and permanent
