1. Two shining stars of the Arabs and Persians
I saw no difference between them

2. Let not the eyes look upon the stars of heaven
When their brilliance is made manifest

3. They were paired in prosperity and glory, behold!
What a wondrous coupling God has brought together

4. O beauty! In their presence the house shone
With a radiance like paint

5. A house whose glory lies in its dwellers
For the secret is in the dwellers, not the dwelling

6. A house of honorable and pious ancestry
The origin of guidance and faith throughout the ages

7. A people supreme in origin and deed, therefore
In glory they have two witnesses

8. As though strung together in their praise
Arenecklaces of pearls in the breasts of the virtuous

9. You affect our souls as you do
Minds, O daughter of the vine

10. So compose in praise of them whenever
Radiance gleams through the necklaces of pearls

11. And say, congratulations, O moons of guidance
For with you congratulations are not disgraced

12. With the servant of the Merciful I congratulate
O Samma, you who fulfilled the most splendid congratulations

13. And with the namesake of my grandfather I attained my wishes
Samma, the viceroy of guidance and security

14. I sincerely congratulate you both
For parents have the greatest right to congratulate

15. And we, the family, altogether
Have a share that fills the heavens

16. Congratulations to you, O family of the best of creation
For life is pleasant and times are good

17. The circumcision of each was a feast day for us
So that Norouz and Eid came together

18. The circumcision of each was, by its prosperity
The most excellent date among dates
