1. Connect with the one veiled in beauty as much as you can,
So that I may repeat his praise and esteem him,
١. صُل ما اِستَطَعت عَلى أَغرّ محجّلٍ
كَيما أُكرّر مَدحه وَأُديمُهُ
2. For his radiant cheeks have illuminated,
As if the dawn has split his delicate skin.
٢. فَكَأَنّ غُرّته الثُريّا أَشرَقَت
وَكَأَنَّما فَلق الصَباح أَديمُهُ
