1. O masters, by praising them I gained elevation
And attained the hopes of fortune's favor
١. يا سادَةً بِمديحهم حزتُ العُلا
وَبَلَغتُ مِن نيل السَعادَةِ مَأملا
2. From you all I seek intercession whenever I desire
The martyrs of Karbala, Tus, and Samarra
٢. لي مِنكُم أَنّى أَرَدت تَوسّلا
جثث بِطيبة وَالغريّ وَكَربلا
3. Are my assets whenever friends have abandoned me
And the hands of time have been against me
٣. وَالطوس وَالزورا وَسامرّاءِ
هُم عدَّتي حَيث الأَحبّة أَعرَضَت
4. They were the living whose pacts have passed
Never did I seek their aid without it being granted
٤. عَنّي وَلي أَيدي الزَمان تَعَرَّضت
حَيّا الحَيا مِنهُم عُهوداً قَد مَضَت
5. And adversity was replaced by prosperity
٥. ما جِئتهُم في حاجَةٍ إِلّا اِنقَضَت
وَتَبَدَّل الضَرّاءُ بِالسَرّاءِ
