1. O you who blame me for the love that dazzled
The minds of God's creation with its essence
2. I swear by the verses of light from His heavens
That the idea of the Beloved amazed me with its dangers
3. Oh welcome, our Beloved and his attributes
By God, the Perfect One is not harmed by his rejection
4. None reject him except the ignorant and foolish
A branch sways when the wind plays with its twigs
5. The rose envies it for the redness of its cheeks
And the myrtle bends towards its gardens
6. My soul is ransom for the visitor who guided
Between death and the final resting place
7. It grew and lions whimper when it roars
Oh the branches' shyness when it bends
8. And the gazelles' shame from its glances
It brings a morning whose goodness rises
9. Radiant from its face, its blessings appear
Ever since the enemies tasted the wine of its monastery
10. They said, forget your love and love another
I said no, by its life
11. I will not seek solace for my soul with another
Loyalty is my custom, not substitution
12. The moon of piety veiled it with fortune
Making prayer with fasting an act of devotion
13. Oh if only its charity would flow to me
What harm to one alone in this time
14. If he is generous in doing good to revivify me and others
I swear by the rising of its beautiful radiant face
15. None who prayed and fasted have the reward of one
Who revives the slain of separation after its death
