1. Without the good tidings of meeting loved ones,
separation would have taken us away completely.

2. And I, sick without being diagnosed, from not meeting,
my yearning has not been cured from its ailments.

3. I have a wounded heart that was attacked
by the hands of distance with its arrows and swords.

4. So who brings me the good news of meeting my loved ones,
that I may stand at their threshold?

5. And I count them as the obeyed king in his command,
and I am of those veiled from them.

6. I love the gathering after separation
and the rising of the sun of union after its disappearance.

7. And the purity of the cup of intimacy after its turbidity,
and the sweetness of rest after bitter drinking.

8. My friend, seize the opportunities for bliss,
for I have been filled with joy and delight.

9. And rejoice in fulfilling the hearts' wishes,
for I have reached the fulfillment of my wishes.

10. And enjoy the fresh goblets of delight,
that dispel sorrows with joy.

11. And meet the moon of nobility in its orbit,
Elevated among the stars of companions.

12. The noble master, who is a refuge for disciples
and a pillar for all seekers.

13. The sun of virtue, of sublime morals and guidance,
and forbearance, a full moon for the wise.

14. A banner under which people are guided, as if
he stood praying like David in the prayer niche.

15. He is angry for God, not for himself,
for not all who frown are men of dignity.

16. So whenever the steeds of temptation stampede with us,
they are turned back at his determination.

17. His doors are the best place to seek honor,
and his sanctuary the best sanctuary.

18. His position is the highest among us,
and his side the most honored of sides.

19. So be happy with your grandfather or with your grandfather's heir,
the most sublime in lineage and ancestry.

20. For through your might, O praised Muhammad,
we have lasting might throughout the ages.

21. Shall we not succeed, when the victory has come,
which you counted among your perfect offspring?

22. And ours is the joy - the return brought it,
and it was the best return, following joy.

23. Greetings to you, reviver of hearts by his return,
and enricher of souls after suffering!

24. Your lofty station, by your might amongst people,
has become intimacy and blessed destination for us.

25. I saw the camp swaggering in garments
of admiration and wonder.

26. And the gardens of intimacy appeared blooming,
blossoming like the cheeks’ bloom beneath the veil.

27. As if the branches of basil were waving playfully
like the hands of flirtatious and supple-bodied maidens.

28. And the songbirds trilled their melody, as if
dictating to us the tunes of Al-Farabi,

29. Enchanting the hearts, as if calling out greetings
to the absent in this meeting.

30. My Master, O you in whom we have no refuge
but your doors amongst people!

31. I summarized your merits in my praise, which
are self-sufficient, without prolonged speech.

32. So forgive your disciple - my time preoccupies me
from praising every veil.

33. And if I did wrong, you have pardoned me, for
the noble pardon and gain the best reward.

34. I have attained what I desire and seek,
so you prevented me from complaining and rebuke.

35. So submit to the One, and remain, for you are the goal of my pursuit,
and your pleasure is what I seek in life and desire.
