1. O my God, by sanctifying keen souls
And honoring them with the most sacred presence,

2. And purifying them after annihilation into eternity,
And freeing them from the world of humanity,

3. Remove from my heart what troubles I endure
And grant me the comfort of Your most generous grace,

4. And do not test me, O my God, with hardship,
For I have little patience in adversity.
