1. With my soul he pictured beauty, the hand of destiny molded it
The Creator quenched it with the water of charms and radiance

2. Safeguarded from hopes unless for the onlooker
So no glance without subsequent regret ensued

3. My essence captivated a self that comprised all delight
Leaving no cheer for the sun in any eye's pupil

4. A coy beloved, familiar in her aloofness
As though her avoidance endeared her to me

5. Secretly I wished to see her face as
People wish openly to see their Lord apparent

6. Of the lovely gazelles, when she appeared
From the cheeks, she made me forget the charms of a gazelle and flock

7. She glanced, so the messenger of the eyes summoned me to passion
And I believed in fear of my ruin in separation

8. I did not know there was a garden in the cheek
Until I saw the rose, water and green

9. With her cheek and mouth, nothing in my passion for her
For if I made an error, I found it a live coal

10. I lowered my worth only to raise hers
By setting up the tent pegs of the eyelids save for humility

11. Never did my mind wander madly for her love
Except a wander enwrapped in madness

12. An unbelieving mole breached the garden of her cheek
When it crept in, so the staff entered the eye of the needle

13. For her, we who love the well-watered land are enamored
Through it, in love for her we belong to the people of excuse

14. And for me in love for her are reproachers
Blaming them is excused for bitterness

15. Had they tasted love, it would have burnt them
With a groan or drowned them, teaching them a lesson

16. Many they are, though their group is few
For its femininity, no good is in this multitude

17. No blemish is in the progeny of Hussein, Muhammad
We have not seen the days malign what we dislike in him

18. A crescent moon, for him two full moons in the celestial orbit
Fame for his traits has made titles redundant

19. A youth whose nature is gentler than water
And whose manners are more fragrant than blossoms

20. Well-mannered but that his gentle upbringing
Was of the innate essence of that being

21. He related from his father every subtlety, leaving
No subtlety that air or mote contains

22. And he was jealous in bestowing perfection as though
He marshalled the army of glory in the time of hardship

23. No innovation in him, for his father is for him
A penetrating arrow that pierces the hair

24. Ally of piety, of splendid morals and prohibition
Familiar with guidance, pure in conscience and thought

25. He refused the company of the lowly so remained revered
For the Most High brings down none but the lowest of the ten

26. He discarded the riffraff from the circle of his affection
As the sinner discards the pits from dates

27. For him the prime of joys in honor as a pearl
Upon the crown of this age, unmatched in its singularity

28. It is attributed to the garden and heaven, but truly
The intelligent brother of experience explains what I said

29. So congratulations Muhammad, and attain
The realization of hopes in the morn and early days

30. You two equated in weight to perfection, compatibility
Surely the free is most suited to the noble

31. The hopes of the envious failed, and how much
With Adam failed the hopes of Father Murrah

32. We will congratulate with children, by His
Help exalted, and come after this pilgrimage with umrah

33. Your wedding has ushered in joy, it did not cease
To grant our hopes success, and our eyes delight

34. A wedding for it in the stars of fortune they recorded
The crescent of joy rose, coinciding with Venus
