1. Guard the water of your face, it shines with its beauty,
And seek from the one who has given plenty to the world with his bounty,

2. For by the truth of the pride of creation and his family,
No one insisted on asking him, though his face was accessible.

3. Instead, even if he attained riches by asking,
So be content with what your Lord has provided you,

4. And leave off begging for whoever hopes in it is disappointed,
For if you cast off the garment of shame you will lose it,

5. And if you weigh asking with bounty,
Asking outweighs, and every bounty becomes lighter.
