١. عَلقته رَشأ كَاللَيث ذا لبد
أَخنى عَلَيهِ الَّذي أَخنى عَلى لبدِ

2. Now he is in a pitiful state, worthy of lamentation,

٢. فَصارَ في حالَة يُرثى لَها أَسَفاً
وَطالَما كانَ لا يرثي إِلى أَحَدِ
