1. Gardens woven for them by the soft rain,
Whose thread was spun by thunder's roar.

2. The rain poured forth pearls of tears upon them,
Adorning them like necklaces of pearls.

3. Cheeks pressing against cheeks
Like roses nuzzling one another's blush.

4. Eyes of narcissus gaze out
Like eyes accentuated with kohl.

5. As the cheeks appeared, the darkened temples
Seemed shadows on the rosy cheeks.

6. The dewdrops on them appeared as tears
On grieving eyelids lamenting the departed.
