1. The lovers' souls have passed away
In longing for the gardens they miss so
١. لَقَد ذَهبَت أَنفسُ العاشقين
عَلى نار وَجنَتِه حَسراتِ
2. No wonder, then, the flames have come to stay
For fire is tempted by desires to grow
٢. وَلا غروَ إِن أَصبَحَت تُشتَهى
فَقَد حُفَّت النارُ بالشَهواتِ
