1. With my soul is the graceful Hayfa
I entice her from herself and she entices me

14. Nor did it spare her in ravaging her
I squeezed her lips, her high breasts

15. She moaned, rang, swayed, and whimpered
Her flowing blood soaking the bed

16. Saying, “With this lance a girl could bear a child
While the sitting women couldn’t handle it!”

17. I said, “Patience, darling soul, she meets
What the non-contender doesn’t face.”

18. She said, “And did you lack patience, ravager?
At a stab that loosens pendants?”

19. “This lance of yours is awful among lances
Tightening moments and aims.”

20. I said, “Bear it awhile, withstand it,
No matter if it strains the channels.”

22. “A little love-play's fine when wise
But too much love-play's foolish sin.”

23. I treated her gently - gentleness being my way

Her joints under lances were tempted

29. And she said, “So much good you have brought me
