10. If her lips did not sweeten the blend
Flowers would not be sweet for lovers

11. It has no flaw but
Breaking vows and forgetting promises

12. She is a willowy, undulating Gazelle
Her stature laden with swinging movement

13. When her fragrance spreads, it spreads
Granting union, erasing estrangement

14. In a melodious garden with outstretched arms
She reveals to her companions rosy cheeks

15. Lightning smiled in its expanse
Thunder roared at its edges

16. Her leaves sang at her banks
Branches swayed with slender twigs

17. As if her foliage were a lute
Whose strings and branch were made a lute

18. So seize pleasures in their time
What has passed, my friend, shall not return

19. Do you not see her Nayruz has come
Spending the morning at Al-Rubaa in coolness

20. And made the flowers laugh in her garden
And awoke the birds after dozing

21. And ornamented the garden with its colors
With beauty, and revived the land after grief

22. And dressed the horizons in its finery
With green, white, and black

23. The dawn has emerged
From a radiant new moon giving existence

24. As if when it rose spreading
It was Hussein’s face meeting delegations

25. The noble master whom the people of earth
Submitted to, leader or pauper

26. The pure pedigreed one made pure
Through scripture, his origins verified

27. Preserving the covenant when forgotten
By the generous as pacts are kept

28. How many generous deeds we recite
Noble deeds beyond denial

29. And the story of the heir in his plot
Against his prominence is evidence itself

30. You remain supported, Abu Nasir
Against an enemy, obstinate and jealous

31. You never ceased to be in grace
Enviable, breaking the hearts of enviers

32. And gift it to her, a deftly woven
Poem, like a necklace round a fawn’s neck

33. It congratulates you on a victory over
An obstinate affair, from an affectionate loving friend

34. May you live for days, glad tidings receiving
Of honor, its rising destiny

35. No gazelle has trilled in the garden
Nor has the guide called in the Valley of Al-Zarood
