١. هُوَ طودُ عِلمٍ لا يُبارى رفعَةً
وَمحيطُ فَضلٍ لا يَزال مَديدا

2. A scholar, when others err, who shows us
A sound opinion that he has

٢. عَلمٌ إِذا جارَت صوائبُ غيره
أَبدى لنا رأياً لَديه سَديدا

3. He revived the quarters of noble traits with his merit
After they had been idle

٣. أَحيا رِباع المكرُمات بفَضله
مِن بعد أَن كانَت مَهامِهَ بيدا

4. And to him merit freely handed over its difficult reins
And drew near to him voluntarily though it had been distant

٤. وإليهِ أَلقى الفَضلُ صعبَ زِمامِه
وَدَنا له طوعاً وكانَ بَعيدا

5. How many arguments among people did he erect the pillars of
Against their wishes, pleasing justice and unity

٥. كَم حجَّةٍ في الخَلق شادَ عِمادَها
كَرهاً وأَرضى العدلَ والتَوحيدا
