1. O eye, this is Mustafa Ahmad,
The best of all creation, the most glorious master.

2. And this dome has shone brightly,
Without it the sun and planets would fade.

3. And this garden has bloomed,
In it are wishes, prayers, and goals.

4. And this is Taibah, it has spread for us
Its outskirts, foothills, and meadows.

5. Its blue eye has sparkled and not
Been touched by blindness or cataracts.

6. So why do my sorrows not disperse
And why do my fires not cool down?

7. This is the mosque and al-Baqi‘ which
The fountain, creek, and drinking place have flourished in.

8. A land of purity and loftiness,
For it the stars and flowers envy.

9. Its pebbles are pearls and its rocks
Are gems, essence, and white musk.

10. The moons wished they could
Adorn their crescents with its soil.

11. So what of one whose eye is lined
With its dust, even if blinded.

12. In it the virtues of excellence gathered,
And its superiority in description is unmatched.

13. The House, its corners,
Zamzam, the Stone, and the Mosque envy it.

14. The scene of Sa‘d whose superiority is brilliant,
The angels of God bow down to it.

15. And how could it not be when it is the standing place
Of the one seated atop the Highest Summit.

16. And residence of the elite of Hashim,
What an excellent residence and scene.

17. The best clan of Quraysh by lineage in the world,
Through him humankind and time were purified.

18. The chosen one of God who has been elevated
To the most high, glory, and fortune.

19. His signs illuminate the dark night,
He is most honored, noble, fortunate.

20. Opener and Sealer, sea of bounty,
Its shore, path, middle course.

21. God has preferred him over His messengers,
And the messengers acknowledge him.

22. His signs like the sun in its light,
Seen by the blind and the sighted.

23. How many signs of his in the world,
To which the white and black submit.

24. Their narration was not fabricated,
And dawn does not conceal or deny them.

25. So O Messenger of God, best of those
Who the desperate and helper seek.

26. Hearing has ransomed you, from one hearing,
The call of a caller whose heart has withered.

27. He called you while engulfed in darkness,
Perhaps your mercy will come to his aid.

28. Hardship has lingered and so has anguish,
And I have no one else assisting me.

29. Patience has run out from what has befallen me,
And how can it not run out or expire?

30. So salvation, salvation O my master,
You are the refuge and destination.

31. Your love is my treasure on a day when
No father or mother can bring joy.

32. You are in both abodes my sanctuary,
If the near and far abandon me.

33. So remove my affliction immediately O my master,
Perhaps the heat of sorrow may cool down.

34. And bring me close to you as a neighbor, for
The bed and mattress have narrowed for me.

35. And lodge me in Taibah as a dwelling place,
For it was first my birthplace.

36. By my life it is my goal and wish,
Not Qubba or Thahmad.

37. Then may the peace of God the Almighty,
Continually pour upon you forever.

38. And your family—the elite, the generous,
To them narrations of the Most High ascend.

39. No arrikah has trilled in the garden,
Nor have its branches swayed gently,

40. Nor has a reciter recited to us,
“O eye, this is Mustafa Ahmad.”
