An excuse came with my own exoneration.

8. She arrived and rekindled unextinguished concerns
And reminded me of an unforgotten pact.

9. Would that a glance had made my heart rapturous
That visited you, while you wore gazelle anklets.

10. I was granted a promised meeting from you, awaited
And fulfilled by destiny’s tradition.
