1. The full moon rose among the stars
Like a king marching with his entourage
١. قَد طَلَعَ البَدرُ في كواكبهِ
كالمَلك يختالُ في مواكِبهِ
2. And the night hastens after it to a goal
As an eyelid yearns beneath its rider
٢. وَاللَيلُ يَسعى به إِلى أَمَدٍ
كالطرفِ يَستنُّ تَحتَ راكِبهِ
