1. Abu Hassan, may Allah not improve a state
That causes the youth to make excuses

2. Nor one who calls towards a valley and oasis
And the face of my brother Husn that equals the full moon

3. So do not leave your work hastily and climb
To the horizon of pleasures openly without secret

4. Prepare again the call to meet on my hearing that
Always delights in what you have deposited, time everlasting

5. And do not forget to mention the cup for it is its perfection
And do it the favor of neglect from the adornment of mention

6. With it my state and livelihood were adorned
Nothing else, otherwise peace be upon life

7. By Allah, there is no place of comfort on earth
Other than the adornment of comfort that robbed me of patience

8. Its habitual use is the familiarity of the vintage in its book
And I desire no roses other than it on the day of resurrection
