1. The judge licked the porridge
With calmness and dignity
١. إنَّ الدَّقِيقَ وَلَعقَهُ
لَمِنَ السَّكِينَهِ وَألوَقَار
2. Bless you, judge
He came armed
٢. لِلَّه دَرُّكَ قَاضِياً
قَد جَاءَ فِي مِسلاَحِ فَار
3. He licked the porridge vigorously
While the night wrapped its waistcloth
٣. لَعَقَ الهَرِيسَةَ جَاهِداً
وَاللَّيلُ مَسدُول الإزَار
4. And came to his courtroom
Covered in dust
٤. وَأتَى لِمَجلِسِ حُكمهِ
وَعَلَيهِ أثَارُ الغُبَار
5. Witnessed the abandonment of ablution
What a disgraceful disgrace
٥. شَهِدَت على تَركِ الوُضُو
ءِ وَكَانَ عَاراً أيَّ عَار
