1. A day whose radiant light brought cheer,
Robing time itself in raiment clear,

2. The sea, the rain stars and your grace

3. When we behold your giving and your height,
We find the sea and rain no strange sight.

4. The ocean sways as if, on seeing you,
Amazement and shyness in its waves imbue.

5. Dignity donned it as it rose above,
A lofty, redolent, fragrant ridge thereof,

6. Meeting its call, the plants you see
A white hand where gardens green should be.

7. A peerless knight of generosity
Where exiles found felicity and glee,

8. Who delegations to his craft invites
Whose fame with dew and voice unites

9. His days are burnished, shadows laid
By lights and praisers in their shade,

10. Blossomed or shone until it seems
Darkness takes flight and gloom redeems.

11. Guide, gift, like a star whose traits
Are told by clouds and lights it creates.

12. He gave and inspired, his frenzy'sProtection, his sky's
Direction, neither.

13. He shouldered all so faults he'll note
And turn from errors with a dote.

14. Diverse their hopes but loving hearts the same,
Myself, my verse, my tune, my acclaim,

15. A necklace, a trill, green plumes for you,
A maiden came to you with modesty, let her

16. From you acceptance, excuses earn.
Your pride makes heaven your niche

17. And grey hair your adornment, dawn your garb.
So be well, anytime is your feast evermore

18. And every verse for you joy does outpour.
Be healed, lauded, when doctors fail their knowledge

19. Poets by your grace their bounty acknowledge.
