1. It began with motions, then detached from them
And left them for their stillness, quietude

2. And formed these free universes
And cooled, from them congealed and softened

3. And when motions circled round
With their faithful center underneath the cycle

4. And the free turned above the cold a while
Begotten from them, soft yet firm

5. So when from it the free took softness
The latent dryness in the essence appeared

6. And perfected for it isolated natures
Hidden to reveal their secret essence

7. To elevate its lowly with its lofty continuum
And its end with its beginning hostage

8. Thus spheres plotting their courses
Revolve as the crazed turns about

9. And elemental tempers of beginnings
Compositions roam, flee with gazes

10. And when in them composition differed
Names and arts differed and were many

11. Such is our secret, covert knowledge
For what we have said and hidden lore

12. And entrust secrets only
To your heart, their rightful trust

13. If guardians of your secret increased
Then that secret, most lost, would be

14. Your confidant cannot be evil
For the confidant strips the secret bare
