1. We have a land we will sunbathe for a time
And we will ride it and make it docile

To quench the thirst when one is feeling ill

3. And we will make what flies over it
As dust that the lowly cannot feel

4. And we will gently peel its shadow off it
Lightening its heavy nature

5. And we will take much of its yield
For the little seeds we sowed

6. That burrowed into the depths of its soil
And brought up its beautiful blossoming buds

7. Their colors became black, white
And red that we do not want changed

8. And we will make our wheat grains into flour
Fermenting it slowly over time

9. And we will knead leavened dough from it
Whose remedy dazzles the bleary eye

10. So think upon what we have said and be patient
You will draw from it a beautiful symbolism
