1. As for iron, verily
It has much benefit

2. Mixing lead with it, lo!
It is hardened and a fine alloy

3. Removing heat and moisture
From it, moist and cold

4. Then when the temperaments are balanced
The spoiled disposition is corrected

5. And when it is cooled with dew
The dye thereof lasts

6. And when it rises in its dye
To high lands, it is a fine profit

7. In it is achievement for the contented
Who is miserable with it and perseveres

8. The poor man sacrifices to obtain it
Yet it is the rich man who has it
