1. By extracting moisture from its body
Its parts became calcified and collapsed

2. And it became a dead crust
Devoid of cohesion, unable to heal

3. So if you moistened its parts
They would stick together

4. And with gentleness and separation you can manage it
And soften the heat until it is complete

5. So do not exhaust the earth and preserve
The moisture that fills the womb

6. For in extracting its wetness is its death
And preventing its marriage and sterility

7. And with water you wash its filth
And scrape the affliction and disease from it

8. And make its interior apparent
And reveal from its mystery what was concealed

9. And with oil the shade of copper disappears
And restore from our land what was ruined

10. And from it are born our pigments
So our water becomes, through it, blood

11. And with the earth we spread our oils
So it remains in the fire, undefeated

12. And with dye its colors shine
So it becomes bright in the darkness

13. And moistening our worn out bodies
Was with water and with oil was completed

14. And crops grow and meadows prosper
And from its plants blossoms what was budded
