2. The youth envied him when he fell behind
And time denied him what he sought.

ูุฃุจูู ูู ููุตูุฑู ุงูุฒู

3. When his tongue erred and spoke foolishly
And he opposed and slandered his protector,
ูฃ. ูุฏ ููุชู ูู
ููุง ุณูููู ููู ูุณุงูููู
ุณููููุงู ูุนุงุฑุถู ุจุงูู
ุตููู ู
ูุฐุงูููู
4. I said: โWait! You were given his broad generosity
And he is far nobler. You have not his traits-

ููุงู ููุฏ ุฃููุชูุชู ุจุณุทุฉู ุฌุงููู

ุง ุนุดุฑุชู ุฎูุตุงูููู
5. Do you blame him if you judge fairly, except that
He sought highness and attained it fully?
ูฅ. ูู ุนูุจุชู ุฅูู ุฃูุตููุช ุฅูููุง ุฃูู
ุทูุจู ุงูุนููุงุกู ูุฌุฏูู ููู ููุงูููู
6. Why not recall his tentโs nobilities,
Proclaim his deeds and words, thereby extol him?

7. Time has removed the excess of a busy life
And perpetuated his glory and his acts,
ูง. ุญุฐูู ุงูุฒู
ุงูู ูุถููู ุนูุดู ุดุงุบูู
ุนููู ูุฎูููุฏู ู
ุฌุฏููู ูููุนุงูููู
8. Exposing his stinginess and sensuality,
Spreading his guidance and his misguidance.
ูจ. ูุฃุจุงูู ุนูู ุจูุฎูููู ููููุงูููู
ูุฃุดุงุน ููู ููุฏููููู ูุถูุงูููู
9. After him time is but an idler, though
It was radiant when his shade gave shelter.โ

ุฐ ุฃุฒุงุญู ุธููุงูููู
10. Perhaps one day it will rue its vileness
And give back to him his former beauty.
