1. Did you know before today a chirping bird
Who gifts you magic in verse and prose

2. The one whose voice is melodious to the listener's ear
Did not afterwards suggest vain babble or nonsense

3. From where do I get, although I have every far reach
A song with which I left the grieved happy

4. And I have rhymed praise to many a beautiful friend
And if not for exposing gratitude, it would be hidden

5. And a night whose eyes were lined by me
With wisdom filling their lids with light

6. I reciprocated its darkness with brilliants
That split open a fold that was twisted

7. To God - how many selves were tied to Him
And how many eyes turned their images to Him

8. A treasure the righteous hid for you
While the calf remains hidden and buried

9. Wait - we are but a people like you
That glorify God with tweets and chirps

10. We go in the morning searching for predetermined sustenance
Thus we get the grace of God's abundant provision

11. The title of Suhad is engraved on each well-bred
Cutting the night with cooing and chirping

12. Still luring with righteous deeds it honors
When righteousness becomes scarce and abandoned

13. If you sprinkle it seeds it follows you
Picking them up and storing in a pouch
