5. You are two in the heart: a tenderness, and a wound
That reached it from the buried accumulations.

6. I had just been of fabricated talk
And wished that you were of the talk of the fabricator.

7. You took residence in the isthmus of a doubt
Between certainty and the skepticism of the waverer.

8. And if you find enjoyment in falsehood
Every truth will come to you in formation.

19. Unless you repent, you two are of the accursed.
Souls with souls, in precious preservation,

20. You have sold them while your Lord is the buyer.
You have revived it, so you have killed it, purified,

21. May God bless you, O purifier.
You are the expert of the gardens, and indeed

22. If not for awe, I would say tell out of yearning.
Unless you tell me - for innocence

23. Has told me, and Allah is the most truthful informer -
You have won beauty, and then there is increase

24. That has been ambiguous to you, so propose and inquire.
The life of the world had been too narrow for an ambition

25. For you, you did not find above it any outlet,
But now it has been filled with the first breath

26. That amazed your outlook with beauty and interpretation.
As for your enemies, they have surrendered,

27. From an angry unbeliever and whoever has not blasphemed.
Your inclined fortunes leaned over them,

28. They have bowed to it, the morning is not denied.
Do you see them hoping for your lengthening

29. Or fearing - and whoever dies does not fear?
No! It is the consensus, whoever transgresses it

30. Is as though madness has seduced him, possessed.
And I remembered you while worries draw me to drink

31. Sleeplessness, reminding me of the sound of gravel,
And the night has worn mourning, as though

32. A misfortune with the loss of the Purchaser befell it,
And as though its darkness ruptured hearing eyes,

O rain, direct blessing to Saragossa

40. And pour my tears into the raining clouds,
And strew mercy upon the horizons of worshipers

41. And drag its train over the green spring,

For you in the tears of all are provisions,

46. And what do we conceal them for if they do not appear?
Be, O my heart, a mercy from tender weeping

47. That bleeds, and be not hardness from essence.
For God has damned those whose hearts

48. Have hardened, and He does not damn lightly.
Are you not from what His favors have grown?

49. So prove His bounties, the reward of the fertile!
How many blessings whose breeze blew upon you gently,

50. And more subtly caressed than the imagination of poets!
And beings - the sustenance of embryos and their return -

51. More purely and coolly than a spring of Kauthar!
O you who once returned and then turned away and left offspring
