1. The tyrants who rose high
In deep dark pits have fallen

2. Their wealth is of no use to them now
After they have become one with the earth and vanished

3. Why have their branches withered
And why beneath the soil have they decayed

4. They did not fulfill God's right when it came to them
And how many adversaries before them have bent

5. Look at their abode after them
Empty, desolate when they have departed

6. And enter without permission or constraint
And tread the dust of every unassailable fortress

7. If you take no lesson from their state
Then desire what they desired and seek what they sought
