1. O you who are stingy with the beauty of your eyes,
Stinginess towards me is shameful,

2. And boasting to your peers,
With the smiles of tormenting lips,

3. And changing the flowers of the meadow into nothing,
Cheeks that are originally sin and ancestry,

4. It would not hurt if we play, even for a day, as youth desired,
And for whom do you protect beauty by covering it stingily in a veil,

5. Imagine you are this life and its splendor,
For in it life is good,

6. And the sun waters the flowers with its various beverages of light,
And the moon gives itself up,

7. To the night stripped of its wraps,
And dawn dresses the universe,

8. And the horizons in various attires,
And we pluck the flowers and carry them,

9. As ornaments or garments,
And we gather and smell them,

10. As if they are aromatic perfume,
And we see among the birds what,

11. If you evoke it, responds with melody,
All the signs of your Lord,

12. He has revealed them as reward,
As atonement for what we face,

13. In life of torment,
And life is what the wise desire,

14. And for them life is torment,
For how far its sins have gone,

15. Beauty has come to it as repentance,
So why do you hoard it, and is there,

16. In protecting it, any benefit to be gained,
Beauty, and it is from dust,

17. Tomorrow will return to dust.
